Live Under the Dome: Cliff Notez

Award-winning multimedia artist and prolific collaborator Cliff Notez brings their genre-defying sound back to the immersive dome of the Charles Hayden Planetarium this summer. Known for blending hip hop, jazz, folk, soul, and R&B into a singular sonic experience, Cliff’s music has been described as “To Pimp A Butterfly meets Kid A”—a fusion of poetic intensity and sonic experimentation.

Their work dives deep: confronting trauma, illuminating the Black experience, and offering a raw yet hopeful journey toward healing. While the lyrics cut deep, the soundscapes lift—bright horns, shimmering keys, crisp percussion, and glowing guitar riffs come together to create a live set that’s as thought-provoking as it is sonically rich.

Recognized by The New York Times, NPR, The Boston Globe, and Boston Herald, and praised by voices like Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley, Cliff’s influence reaches far beyond music. A tireless advocate for social justice and community empowerment, they use their art as both a mirror and a megaphone.

Named “Best Musician” and one of the “100 Most Influential Bostonians” by Boston Magazine, and among the “50 Most Influential Bostonians” by Boston Common Magazine, Cliff Notez is a force within the city’s cultural scene. With over 11 Boston Music Award nominations and wins including “Best New Artist” (2018) and “Song of the Year” (2020), Cliff continues to push boundaries and build bridges—one performance at a time.

Don’t miss this unforgettable evening under the dome with one of Boston’s most powerful artistic voices.
