Description

The ability to speak in a clear, comfortable, and confident manner is a key skill for all biotech industry professionals. Whether presenting internally to a small group of peers, entire departments, management, or externally to clinicians, patient advocates, other medical professionals, the press, or investors, telling your story effectively, delivering meaningful messages, being persuasive, and speaking confidently in a variety of settings takes skill development and practice. The workshop will be interactive, with practice, role playing, and exercises. Combining this approach with a comprehensive agenda ensures participants will gain important, practical, lifelong skills that they can put to immediate use.

Instructor

Robin Golinski
Executive Communication Coach, Speech Improvement Company

Robin Golinski is an energetic and accomplished coach and trainer of The Speech Improvement Company. Her intuitive and upbeat personality accentuates her insightful and practical communication skills.

Robin saw early on the power of storytelling and humor as effective communication tools for influencing and persuading others. Among Robin’s many accomplishments are: co-author of The Handbook of Communication Training, former Chair of the National Communication Association Training & Development division, and trainer for Harvard Schools of Medicine, Design and Engineering.

Robin has personally been responsible for strengthening the communication prowess of hundreds of researchers, scientists, physicians and others in the medical field at renowned companies such as C.R. Bard, Hologic, Johnson & Johnson, Ethicon, Acclarent, and DePuySynthes, Agios, Scipher Medicine, Foundation Medicine, Forrester Research, RallyBio, ThriveBio, DermBiont and Sanofi.

Robin’s formal education includes a B.S. from Oakland University. She is nationally certified from The Instructor Training Institute, and has been trained at CTI – The Coaches Training Institute. Robin is also an Infinite Possibilities certified trainer and an active member of the National Communication Association.
