She+ Geeks Out Power Up: Cultivating Resilience Sponsored by Brightcove

Brightcove’s own Sarah Barillaro, VP, Talent Development, will lead a workshop on cultivating resilience and avoiding burnout.
About this Event
In this workshop, you will develop an understanding of burnout, learn how to strengthen resilience in yourself and team members, and identify actions you can take to prevent burnout. Please take a few minutes prior to the session to watch Lucy Hone’s TedTalk on The Three Secrets of Resilient People. Come ready to talk about how this affects you and share any best practices you have cultivated in your personal and professional lives to manage burnout.

Agenda
4:30pm-5:15pm: Networking! We’ll have table topics for people to virtually join, up to eight to a table

5:15pm-6:15pm: Workshop

6:15pm-6:30pm: More networking!

Panelists
Sarah Barillaro, Vice President, Talent Development at Brightcove

How is this going to work?
This will NOT be a Zoom meeting (yay!)… you’ll be able to network in small groups of up to eight people per table prior to and after the webinar. You get to choose where you ‘sit’ and there will be lots of pre-created topics that will be work and fun-related (furbaby and humanbaby pictures, book ideas, TV show obsessions, all welcome here).

You’ll get all the info on how to access the Airmeet platform through Eventbrite.

Thanks so much to Brightcove for sponsoring!

This event is a womxn-focused event that intends an inclusive definition of womxn. We are welcoming and respectful of womxn, including trans womxn and those who are nonbinary, gender non-conforming, and anyone who identifies as a womxn in a way that is significant to them. We also welcome allies who are committed to creating environments that are supportive of people who are typically underrepresented in the workplace and beyond.

Please make sure to read our code of conduct before coming to our event!

“I absolutely loved the tables! IRL events I have horrible social anxiety so it’s super hard for me to dive into a conversation by walking up to a group. Having these set topics made me feel instantly welcomed and able to really get into the topics with everyone. I wish more events were run this way.”

“For being a virtual event, it was surprisingly easy to engage and feel connected to people. I loved the UI with the tables and table topics, and the speaker part worked very well too.”

“Wonderful content and great conversations. This was my first event and I found it very valuable. I also loved the virtual interface, it’s very user-friendly.”

“The speeches were intriguing and the online forum was incredible! The virtual chairs and tables where attendees could mingle, offered a perfect alternative to physical meetups during our time of social distancing.”
