Celebrate St. Patrick's Day - Kendall Square Style

Everyone knows that Boston is known for its Irish culture but as St. Patrick’s Day approaches you should consider celebrating the holiday in Kendall Square and the Cambridge area! You can spend the day at an Irish pub or even explore another delicious Kendall Square restaurant! We’ve picked just a few of our favorite activities happening in and around Kendall Square!

Tommy Doyle’s

Tommy Doyle’s brings Irish culture to Kendall Square so naturally and it’s the perfect location to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. This Irish pub offers tasty, filling, pub food and don’t forget about their 17 draft lines with a large selection of craft beers and obviously Guinness. So stop by Tommy Doyle’s for your lunch break or even post work drinks and dinner to celebrate the Irish holiday, even if you aren’t Irish. Fingers crossed for warm weather so you can enjoy a pint on the patio!


The Friendly Toast

If you are looking for a place to grab breakfast before your start off your St. Patrick’s Day festivities you should head over to the Friendly Toast! It might not be your typical Irish food but with the restaurants commitment to being “green” and sustainability along with the bright green walls you can celebrate the holiday in a unique way.


Craicfest- Cambridge 5K

If you are looking to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day while being active you can register for the Craicfest 5k. Runners can dress up in green or even Irish-themed outfits making this race fun and unique. After the race there is party with free food, beverages and a mix of Irish alternative and hip-hop hits that is included with registration. You can leave the race not feeling guilty about all the beer and Irish food you consumed!  


The Druid

If you are looking for a quaint bar to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in Cambridge the Druid is the perfect location for you. On St. Patrick's Day, swing by the Druid to enjoy some traditional Irish music while you enjoy the classic Irish dishes including corned beef and cabbage, Irish beef stew, Irish seafood stew, and more. Hugh McGowan and Friends will also perform at 2:30 p.m. creating the perfect environment to celebrate.


The Black Rose

If you are going into Boston the weekend before St. Patrick’s Day you will find plenty of places celebrating. Very few are probably celebrating with four days of Irish festivities like The Black Rose. Starting on March 13 at 6:30 p.m., the restaurant is offering a Jameson dinner ($40), consisting of four courses and four Jameson drinks. Revels Glen will be playing live upstairs starting at 7 p.m. on March 14. On the 15th, there will be a Bushmills Gear Up for St. Patrick's Day promotion starting at 5:30 p.m. The celebrations start early on St. Patrick’s Day at 8 a.m. with live music entertainment all day long featuring Celtic Clan and more. Pick one day or even all four and celebrate at the Black Rose!
