Discovery After Dark

Get ready for a night of discovery, celebration, and scientific wonders at this year’s “Discovery After Dark” event, brought to you by the Broad Discovery Center and Operation Outbreak! Join us on Thursday, October 23rd from 6:00 to 8:00 pm for an exclusive, after-hours, free, museum event.

Embrace the night with an atmosphere of excitement and curiosity as you explore the museum’s galleries and engage with interactive displays that spark the imagination. At this year’s Discovery After Dark event, we invite you to participate in our in-person outbreak simulation, during which a fictional pathogen will spread anonymously via Bluetooth across participating phones. During and after the simulation, attendees can dive into the simulation results in our Outbreak Visualizer (see example here).

But that’s not all! We’ve prepared a fantastic lineup of entertainment with DJ Backspin, Operation Outbreak and delights to make this event truly unforgettable.
