Gaga (Dance & Movement Language) – A Forms Forum Workshop Presented by The Ludo

The Ludo is honored to be hosting Ana Harmon at Forms Forum for a rare opportunity to experience Gaga in the Boston area.

About Gaga Movement:

Gaga is the ever-evolving movement language created by Ohad Naharin, house choreographer of Batsheva Dance Company. Classes are predicated on a deep activation of the body and attunement to physical sensations. Information is layered, building into a multisensory, physically invigorating experience. While many instructions are imbued with rich imagery, the research of Gaga is fundamentally physical, connecting to a specific process of embodiment. Inside Gaga’s guided structure, the improvisational nature of exploration enables each participant to connect to their own research and range.

Classes are designed for everyone; all abilities are welcome. No background in dance is necessary, and participants don’t need to memorize any steps.

About Ana Harmon:

Ana Harmon is a dance artist and movement advocate based in her home state of Massachusetts. She has been a certified Gaga teacher since 2019, completing her training in Tel Aviv under the artistic guidance of Ohad Naharin. Ana divides her time between teaching Gaga classes for conservatories, universities, and communities and managing the organization’s artistic and educational programs worldwide.

Since 2022, she has served as Visiting Faculty in Harvard University’s Department of Theater, Dance & Media, and from 2021 to 2025 was a faculty member at the Boston Conservatory. Ana danced professionally from 2007-2013 before earning a BA in English Literature and Middle Eastern Studies from Tel Aviv University in 2016.
