This Spring acclaimed writer, activist, and pop culture insider Kevin Powell comes to the Museum of Science, Boston for a one-night only special event celebrating his newest releases, Grocery Shopping With My Mother, a collection of poetry, and The Kevin Powell Reader: Essential Writings and Conversations, a gathering of 30-plus years of his literary output.

Kevin Powell has become one of the most prolific American writers, thinkers, activists, and public speakers of the past three decades. His writings are important contributions to our national conversations on race, gender, class, politics, pop culture, celebrity, hip-hop, and the past, present, and future of the United States.
