Life Sciences Apprenticeship Program – Apply Now!
Have you always dreamed of working in the biotech industry? Do you pay close attention to detail and have an analytical mind? Would you be interested in receiving free training, professional mentoring, and a paid one-year apprenticeship as a Biomanufacturing Technician? Consider applying to MassBioEd’s Life Sciences Apprenticeship Program.
Women, underrepresented POC, veterans, and people who are unemployed or underemployed are encouraged to apply. Contact BioTalent@massbioed.org or complete an initial statement of interest form at the link below.
Applicants need to be 18+ and HS graduates or equivalent. Math, critical thinking, and problem solving skills will be important for the biomanufacturing technician (BMT) track. Administrative and project management skills will be important for the clinical trial associate (CTA) track.
Training for the apprentices has a tentative start date in March/April 2021 (BMT) and June/July 2021 (CTA). The length of the training, if an applicant is selected, depends on which apprenticeship track an applicant chooses. The BMT (biomanufacturing technician) apprenticeship is more hands-on, often in the lab, and requires about 6 months of free training, including science training that we will provide before the year-long paid apprenticeship begins Fall 2021. The CTA (clinical trial associate) apprenticeship requires candidates to already have strong administrative/office skills (e.g., Word, Excel, email, online research, professional communication skills) and will require about 3 months of free training before the year-long paid apprenticeship tentatively starts Fall 2021.
