An all levels, trauma-informed, gentle yoga class.

About this event

Participants will be encouraged to focus on breath and movement to release physical, mental and emotional tension. Practice will end with a mini sound bath during Savasana.

Marlene Boyette is a yoga & wellness and sound healing practitioner. After 13 years as a preschool teacher, primarily in Cambridge, MA, she obtained her 200 hour trauma informed yoga certification. Marlene founded Leela Yoga + Wellness and co-founded Peace In Boston, an initiative centering yoga instructors of color, bringing yoga to underserved communities, and prioritizing diversity, equity and inclusion in the yoga space.

• This will be an outdoor class – make sure to wear comfortable clothing for movement

• Bring your yoga mat and a water bottle (there is a water fill station in the Open Space)

• If this is your first time at our Sweat & Reset program, please arrive a few minutes early to fill out a waiver

Keeping us safe: This event will follow all MIT policies and Covid safety guidelines. Face coverings are not required outdoors for vaccinated individuals, but you are most welcome to wear one if you wish. For unvaccinated individuals, wearing a face covering outdoors is required when unable to maintain 3 feet of physical distance.
