If voting didn’t matter, the GOP wouldn’t be working so hard to discredit it and work to change laws to make it harder to vote. So we need more turnout than ever to make sure that more rights don’t get taken away and that our rights will be restored!

She+ Geeks Out is excited to support Swing Left’s mission of increasing voter turnout in the United States! Here at SGO, we’re committed to all facets of DEI work and the best way to engage in equity work is to participate in local and national elections. Swing Left wants to make it as easy as possible for everyone to have an impact on the elections that determine the balance of power in our country (Swing Left). Swing Left is working with Vote Forward to make letter writing as easy and accessible as possible!

Join SGO in helping Vote Forward’s The Big Send campaign – send 10 Million voter turnout letters in 2022. We will be hosting a virtual letter-writing party on Tuesday, October 4, 2022, from 6:00pm – 7:00pm EST/3:00pm – 4:00pm PST on Zoom.

The process is simple:

Register here for our event
Then, create an account with Vote Forward which will give you all the tools you need to write letters.
After your account is confirmed (about 24-48 hours after creating), you’ll be able to “adopt” a campaign to write letters to!
Note: There are dozens of campaigns in a variety of states and districts that have a variety of mailing dates.
Log into our Virtual Letter Writing Party (zoom link to be sent upon registration) and we’ll provide everything you need to know on how to write the letter, how to send it, and why we write in the first place!
