“A Community Reflects” Kendall Square Art Activation with artist Silvia Lopez Chavez
About the project: Artist Silvia Lopez Chavez is teaming up with MIT to create temporary public art along Main Street in Kendall Square. Engaging local neighbors and friends to participate in the creation of street-level art on glass windows, Silvia will incorporate stories, reflections, hardships and hopes of the past year in color, portraits, patterns, and words sourced from community contributions.

Keeping us safe: This event will follow all MIT policies and Covid safety guidelines. Face coverings are not required outdoors for vaccinated individuals, but you are most welcome to wear one if you wish. For unvaccinated individuals, wearing a face covering outdoors is required when unable to maintain 3 feet of physical distance.
