Board Member Basics Workshop

Have you ever considered joining a nonprofit board? Do you have experience and/or skills that might help a nonprofit better achieve its mission and its sustainability? Do you want to make a positive difference for the community at a different level than direct program support?
This session is a reflective conversation for individuals considering board service, probably for the first time. Rather than a didactic exercise, this workshop is a conversation about board opportunities and responsibilities, including the advantages of diverse participation. We want you to reflect on your particular experience, skills, and goals, so that you can decide if board service is right for you and if so, how to find a good match.
Led by: Laurie Rothstein, Executive Director of Cambridge Volunteers, and Kavish Gandhi, Co-Chair, Cambridge Volunteers and community board member
