RESET: Introduction to Mindfulness

An introduction to mindfulness practice for stress, anxiety and uncertainty.

About this event

Mindfulness can offer us tools to cope with stress, anxiety and uncertainty, and a consistent practice can lead to greater tranquility, wisdom and compassion. This 45 minute workshop with mindfulness meditation teacher Zeenat Potia will include basic meditation instruction and is appropriate for beginners as well as those with meditation experience.

  • Registration recommended!
  • This will be an outdoor class – make sure to bring layers, and if you like, a hot beverage to keep warm
  • Yoga blankets and hand warmers will be available
  • If this is your first time at our Sweat & Reset program, please arrive a few minutes early to fill out a waiver

Keeping us safe: This event will follow all MIT policies and Covid safety guidelines. Face coverings are not required outdoors for vaccinated individuals, but you are most welcome to wear one if you wish. For unvaccinated individuals, wearing a face covering outdoors is required when unable to maintain 3 feet of physical distance.

About Zeenat

Zeenat Potia has taught mindfulness meditation since 2014, and has been a student of vipassana or insight meditation for over 15 years. Zeenat teaches at the Cambridge Insight Meditation Center and at organizations and universities in Boston. Based in Cambridge, she integrates 20 years in strategic communications in the higher education, non-profit, and publishing sectors into her offerings. As a South Asian immigrant and a working mother, she aspires to create a more inclusive and sustainable world.
