Virtual Gallery exhibition: Blood and Ink

The Multicultural Arts Center proudly presents Sylvia Stagg-Giuliano’s current work in the exhibit Blood and Ink. Artwork will be on display through the Art Center’s Virtual Gallery until October 30, 2020. Sylvia Stagg-Giuliano was born in Guayaquil, Ecuador. In 1976 she moved to the Boston area to study at the New England School of Photography. She has since worked as an independent commercial and fine art photographer with her primary focus being composited digital photo-illustrations as well as museum-quality commissioned portraits.

In Stagg-Giuliano’s recent series, Blood and Ink, she journeys deep into the world of tattoos. In this series, she doesn’t just look closely at the people who adorn their bodies with tattoos but explores the common desire they share to make some essential part of their personality, thoughts, dreams, obsessions, or personal history visible to the world.
